2004 proved to be an overwhelming success with
130 attendees gathering from across the globe
at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo,
Ontario, Canada.
The workshop program officially opened on Sunday, July 11th with
a welcome reception, hosted and addressed by Dr. Arthur Szabo, Dean,
Faculty of Science of Wilfrid Laurier University.
MSW 2004 provided a forum for attendees to share Maple experiences—both
formally and informally, over the course of the 4-day workshop. The
program featured over fifty contributed talks whereby Maple users,
selected through a formal call for presentations, had an opportunity
to present their innovative usage of Maple in teaching, research
and industry, to a captive audience.
In addition to the contributed talks, the program offered attendees
a wide variety of sessions from which to choose, including: three
keynote addresses, intensive hands-on tutorials, informal Q&A
sessions, and a banquet dinner.
