Why should I become a member?
Maplesoft users number in the millions and are located on every corner of the
globe. The Maplesoft membership system is our way of bringing this community
together in a consolidated, online environment. A membership account entitles
you to easily access premium content, to supply and track your work in the
Maple Application Center, to subscribe to Maplesoft e-mail lists, and more.
New features are planned that will provide additional collaborative opportunities
and resources.

What is membership information used for at Maplesoft?
For over 20 years, Maplesoft
has helped people work better with math, and there is now an extensive number
of commercial organizations and academic institutions that use Maplesoft products.
Through the years, as the community
grew and the products improved with new features, a major problem emerged.
Though the institutions and companies continued to purchase new versions,
end-users have not always been aware of new products, releases,
services and resources. The impact of this is quite serious: end-users continue
to
struggle with old problems and bog down their internal support networks, and
poor advice on the best way to use the products circulates
through informal channels.
The conclusion to this problem was to develop a system whereby
Maplesoft can have direct involvement with end users to get the right information
to them in an effective and respectful way, and to increase their
access to the source of the software. The membership system is the framework
that
Maplesoft
will use to establish a direct line of communication to participating end-users.
Please refer to our privacy
policy for information about how membership information is specifically
used by Maplesoft.

What is Premium Content?
Maplesoft Premium Content includes thousands of hand-picked and professionally developed applications and resources that will help you get the most from your Maplesoft products. These resources include downloadable Maple worksheets, Maple T.A. question banks, tutorials, recorded seminars, white papers and more. In addition to accessing content, members can add their own work to the Maple Application Center, making it available to other members of the Maplesoft user community.

Do I require a membership account to access premium content on the Maplesoft web site?
Yes. Premium content requires that you have a valid membership account.

I have an existing MaplePrimes account. Can I use this same information to log-in?
MaplePrimes is a web community dedicated to sharing experiences, techniques, and opinions about Maple and related products. If you are a Maplesoft member, you automatically have access to MaplePrimes. However, registering for a new account only on MaplePrimes will not create a membership account at Maplesoft.com.

I filled out the sign-up form but have yet to receive the validation e-mail. What now?
The activation e-mail is automatically and immediately sent to the e-mail address
that you entered into the sign-up form. In the event that you may have entered
an incorrect or defunct e-mail address, you should return to the membership
sign-up form and re-register for an account using the correct information.
If you are certain that the e-mail address entered was correct, you can have
the validation e-mail re-sent to your address by clicking
here.
The possibility exists that some firewalls and/or e-mail filters may block your validation e-mail, thereby preventing you from completing the process. In this case, please contact Maplesoft Customer Service for assistance.

How can I retrieve a forgotten password?
To ensure a high level of security for our members, passwords are stored using a powerful one-way encryption algorithm. While extremely secure, it unfortunately means that passwords cannot be retrieved if they are forgotten. If you have forgotten a password, you can easily create a new one by using the "forgot your password" feature found on the log-in page.

I forgot both my password and security question. What now?
If you have forgotten both your password and security question, you must contact Maplesoft Customer Service who will then provide you with the answer to your security question so that you can create a new password.

I
am attempting to create a membership account, but am
being told that my e-mail address has been 'pre-registered'
and therefore cannot complete the process. What now?
If you are a MaplePrimes member and/or an author of an application within the Maple Application Center, it is likely that a membership account was created automatically on your behalf and that, as a result, you are not able to create a membership account using the same e-mail address. If you are a MaplePrimes member, see the FAQ item above for further information.
If you are an application author, however, there is an online
process that you can follow to activate your membership account. This process
will begin automatically after you fill out the membership sign-up form, and
requires that you provide a security question, password and then validate your
account via e-mail. If you have any questions about this process, please contact
Maplesoft Customer Service.

What are the member biography, personal web site and picture fields used for?
These optional fields allow you to provide some details about you and your work, and to make that information available to other members of the Maplesoft user community. Currently, member profiles are only accessible from within the Application Center, but will be expanded in the future. Note that you have the option of whether to make your e-mail address available to anyone viewing your profile. In addition to viewing your profile, visitors to the Maplesoft site can view a list of any books and/or applications that you have listed at Maplesoft.com.

I am the author of a book and/or application that appears on the Maplesoft site, but it is not 'attached' to my membership account. How can I change this and have my work attributed to me?
There are thousands of applications and book titles within the Maplesoft site that pre-date the creation of the membership system. We attempted to link these materials with the appropriate members but realize that there will be some cases where a connection between your membership and some of your work may not have been made correctly. If this is the case, please contact Maplesoft Customer Service, making sure to identify the resource(s) that you have authored and that you would like connected with your membership account.
