IsZero - Maple Help

Magma

 IsZero
test whether an element of a magma is a zero

 Calling Sequence IsZero( m, z )

Parameters

m - Array representing the Cayley table of a finite magma z - magma element to test

Description

 • The IsZero(m,z) command returns true if z is a zero of the magma m, and false otherwise.  The element z is a zero if it is both a left and a right zero element.

Examples

 > $\mathrm{with}\left(\mathrm{Magma}\right):$
 > $m≔⟨⟨⟨1|2|3⟩,⟨2|2|2⟩,⟨3|2|1⟩⟩⟩$
 ${m}{≔}\left[\begin{array}{ccc}{1}& {2}& {3}\\ {2}& {2}& {2}\\ {3}& {2}& {1}\end{array}\right]$ (1)
 > $\mathrm{IsZero}\left(m,1\right)$
 ${\mathrm{false}}$ (2)
 > $\mathrm{IsZero}\left(m,2\right)$
 ${\mathrm{true}}$ (3)
