The Quasistatic Single Phase Ideal Opening Switch (or Ideal Opening Switch) component models a two-terminal, single-pole, electrical switch that is opened when the control input is set to true, and closed otherwise.
To prevent singularities during switching, the opened switch has a (very low) default conductance and the closed switch has a (very low) default resistance . The limiting case is allowed, i.e., the closed resistance and open conductance can be exactly zero.
The model includes a Conditional heat port, but no temperature dependency.
Use with care: This switch is only intended to be used for structural changes, not for fast switching sequences, due to the quasistatic formulation.
