Magma

 IsRightZero
test whether an element of a magma is a right zero

 Calling Sequence IsRightZero( m, z )

Parameters

m - Array representing the Cayley table of a finite magma z - magma element to test

Description

 • The IsRightZero(m,z) command returns true if z is a right zero of the magma m, and false otherwise.  The element z is a right zero if x*z = z, for all x in m.

Examples

 > $\mathrm{with}\left(\mathrm{Magma}\right):$
 > $m≔⟨⟨⟨1|2|3⟩,⟨1|3|1⟩,⟨1|1|1⟩⟩⟩$
 ${m}{≔}\left[\begin{array}{ccc}{1}& {2}& {3}\\ {1}& {3}& {1}\\ {1}& {1}& {1}\end{array}\right]$ (1)
 > $\mathrm{IsRightZero}\left(m,1\right)$
 ${\mathrm{true}}$ (2)
 > $\mathrm{IsRightZero}\left(m,2\right)$
 ${\mathrm{false}}$ (3)

Compatibility

 • The Magma[IsRightZero] command was introduced in Maple 15.
 • For more information on Maple 15 changes, see Updates in Maple 15.
