This demonstration illustrates the use of Maple to perform digital signal processing. First a Windows ding sound is loaded and the fourier spectrum is displayed. Then a low pass FIR filter is constructed and applied to the signal. Finally the spectrum of the input and output signals are displayed. The following Maple techniques are highlighted: - Discrete Fourier Transform - Plotting of Fourier Spectrum - Construction of FIR low pass filter and performing the filter convolution.
