 generate 3-D plot object for a parallelepiped

Parameters

 u, v, w - three 3-D vectors (in list form) p - (optional) origin of the parallelepiped, default is [0,0,0] options - (optional) equations of the form option=value. For a complete list, see plot3d/options.

Description

 • The parallelepiped command creates a three-dimensional plot data object, which when displayed is a parallelepiped positioned at p, having edges given by the vectors u, v, and w.
 • The plot data object produced by the parallelpiped command can be used in a PLOT3D data structure, or displayed using the plots[display] command.
 • Remaining arguments are interpreted as options, which are specified as equations of the form option = value. For more information, see plottools and plot3d/options.

Examples

The following creates a cube.

 > $\mathrm{display}\left(\mathrm{parallelepiped}\left(\left[1,0,0\right],\left[0,1,0\right],\left[0,0,1\right]\right),\mathrm{orientation}=\left[45,60\right]\right)$

The following creates a parallelepiped with origin at [0,1,0].

 > $\mathrm{display}\left(\mathrm{parallelepiped}\left(\left[0,0,1\right],\left[0,1,1\right],\left[1,1,1\right],\left[0,1,0\right]\right),\mathrm{orientation}=\left[-50,70\right]\right)$
