•

Bring virtual prototyping benefits to your wider team by using a new version of MapleSim Insight that can deliver full-featured simulations, including 2-D and 3-D visualizations—without requiring a standalone MapleSim installation.

Updated MapleSim Toolboxes and Connectors

Responding directly to requests from engineers in the field, MapleSim 2020.2 provides important updates to a variety of toolboxes, component libraries, and connectors.

MapleSim Tire Library

•

Test and simulate your model on uneven terrains, giving you a wider range of environments to evaluate your model’s performance.

•

Take advantage of new, high-fidelity tire components based on updated, industry-standard Pacejka tire mechanics.

•

Manage your tire parameters more easily with a new app for organizing and handling your tire parameters across your model.

More Updates to Toolboxes and Connectors

•

Create circuit board heat transfer models more easily by using a new Boards and Parts Generation App within the MapleSim Heat Transfer Library, providing simplified placement of parts and automatic calculations of contact surface areas.

•

Use the latest CAD formats with a new MapleSim CAD Toolbox that supports the latest versions from CATIA®, NX®, and more.

•

The MapleSim Connector for FMI now seamlessly incorporates the scaling options used in your MapleSim model, resulting in faster, more robust code.

•

The MapleSim Connector for JMAG®-RT has been updated to support version 19, allowing engineers to include highly detailed motors and generators in their MapleSim models.

Updates to MapleSim Insight

MapleSim Insight gives machine builders powerful, simulation-based debugging and 3-D visualization capabilities that directly connect to your automation tools, so you can perform simulation-based testing of your controller easily and efficiently. With the new version of MapleSim Insight, deploying models to your wider team is even easier, since your models don’t require a standalone MapleSim installation for simulation and testing.

•

Share models with your team by exporting MapleSim models for use within MapleSim Insight, giving your team 2-D plots and 3-D visualizations of machine behavior even if they aren’t MapleSim users.

•

Change MapleSim model parameters in real time from within MapleSim Insight, getting instant feedback on design changes.
