L_Inductor

Ideal linear electrical inductor

Description The L_Inductor component models a linear inductor. The inductance L is allowed to be positive, zero, or negative.
 Equations $\mathrm{ICP.L}=L$ $\mathrm{ICP.di}=\mathrm{Diff}\left(\mathrm{iinternal},t\right)$ $i={i}_{p}=-{i}_{n}$ $v={v}_{p}-{v}_{n}$ $\mathrm{iinternal}={i}_{p}$ $L\mathrm{Diff}\left(\mathrm{iinternal},t\right)=v+\mathrm{ICP.v}$

Variables

Name Units Description Modelica ID $v$ $V$ Voltage drop between the two pins $\left({v}_{p}-{v}_{n}\right)$ v $i$ $A$ Current flowing from pin p to pin n i $\mathrm{iinternal}$ $A$ iinternal

Connections

Name Description Modelica ID $p$ Positive pin p $n$ Negative pin n $\mathrm{ICP}$ Pin to couple inductances via K ICP

Parameters

Name Default Units Description Modelica ID $L$ $0$ $H$ Inductance L $\mathrm{IC}$ $0$ $A$ Initial value; used, if UIC is true IC $\mathrm{UIC}$ $\mathrm{false}$ Use initial conditions UIC
