Teaching Differential Equations with Maple

It’s hard for students to grasp abstract concepts when they can’t visualize what’s going on, and they can lose sight of the point in a sea of error-prone calculations. With Maple you can:

  • Help your students grasp abstract concepts from differential equations with interactive visualizations
  • Drastically reduce the time spent on computations
  • Explore concepts, reinforce learning, and help students practice

Fostering Student Retention through Success in Mathematics

Universities worldwide face an urgent issue: too many students fail to complete their degrees. The reason for this is often a struggle with first year math courses, which is made worse by students’ increasing reliance on external tools to provide them with answers to homework questions.

But there are ways to turn the technology shortcuts students are already using in their math courses into data-driven insights and interventions that promote student success.

Join the hundreds who’ve already explored this topic in depth by reading our whitepaper or tuning in to our latest webinar, now available as a recording.

A Few of Our Favorite Things (in Maple)

Maple 2025 has been out for a few months now, so we thought we’d round up some of our favorite new features. In no particular order:

  • Maple 2025’s New Interface - this may be a no-brainer but we’re big fans of Maple’s makeover.
  • The Student ODE Package - improvements to this package have made it easier for students to master differential equations with better solutions and explanations.
  • Expanded Unit Support - we’re continuously expanding our support for working with units, with many more commands handling units automatically.

Still not using Maple 2025 yet? We think it’s awesome, and you can give it a try for free.
